• w,a,s,d or arrow keys to move, space bar to jump
  • Collect as many gems as you can through a series of levels of increasing difficulty.
  • Avoid all obstacles or you'll have to start over

(double jump possible after ladder/pterodactyl level -> starting in bee/rolling gem level)

Gems are worth 5 points each, if you finish a level before time runs out, you'll get 1 point for every second left on the clock. After every 4th level, an asteroid hits and a new epoch starts with less time on the clock for each level! Touch an enemy or fall in a hole and you'll have to start over. (at epoch 1 with 0 points)

*Level 3 doesn't have a time bonus -> gems drop until the time runs out and then the warp appears.

Evolve was a difficult theme for us and we took a while to come up with an idea for this game jam. We decided on a retrospective of how far we've come in our game dev journey as well as a depiction of how games in general have evolved over time.

We made all the art/animations and music/sound effects during this jam. It was quite a lot of work! (Even considering half of the game is retro with simple lines and shapes.) Gotta love bosca ceoil! And... yeah... some of those sfx may actually be my voice... I'll never tell which..... LOL didn't have time to do proper foley work ;p
